Craiganour Lodge is great place to stay for special events

We now have a few groups booked in to celebrate special birthdays, and we know they are planning bracing walks up to the hill bothy and Loch Garry, plus celebratory dinners with cakes and candles...the staff may even sing for them if they’re lucky! We are also able to take bookings for corporate events, with our wi-fi throughout the lodge allowing communication to be maintained with the business world while the privacy and escapism that Craiganour Lodge offers can be enjoyed. So in both cases the reason for staying isn’t the sporting activities we offer, but instead the luxury of the lodge and its superb facilities, plus the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

And finally and as you won’t need reminding, it’s not long until Christmas! This is one of the most beautiful times of year at Craiganour Estate, and although it has been unusually mild over the last few weeks, we are still expecting and preparing for the usual heavy snow falls. Although this can cause problems it also brings long periods of picture-postcard scenery. This is a fantastic location for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts, as well as those who just enjoy great walks through woodland and on the white hills followed by cosy dinner and drinks by an open fire. Your children will enjoy spotting the Highland cattle in the fields and roaming deer on the hill...perhaps even looking out for one with a red nose! We have our own snow plough on the estate so do our very best to always remain accessible. In any event, we can think of worst places to be snowed-in than a luxury lodge in Highland Perthshire! So please do not hesitate to contact us if you fancy escaping the usual routine at Christmas or New Year. We will do the decorating, the cooking, the tidying up and the washing up. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the season!
