Fishing holiday Scotland

A perfect fishing holiday Scotland staying at Craiganour Lodge.

If you're planning a fishing holiday Scotland and this is for a large family or large group of friends, then Craiganour Lodge is ideal as this luxury property can sleep up to 18 guests.

Set close to the shores of Loch Rannoch, Craiganour Lodge provides a perfect base for local fly fishing. This includes the brown trout fishing on Loch Rannoch which comes as part of your booking, plus trout and salmon fishing on the nearby rivers Tay and Garry which we can organise in advance for you.

Huge ferox trout for you to catch in Loch Rannoch

Loch Rannoch is famous for its huge 'ferox trout', with ferox meaning that a brown trout becomes especially carnivorous and largely feeds on other fish. This means they can grow to an enormous size, with some fish over 20lbs having been caught over the years.

Although Craiganour Lodge is very luxurious, we also take into account the practical needs of our guests and, for example, there's a drying room at the lodge and laundry facilities. So if you return from a successful day's fishing but rather less than dry, then this is no problem at all and your clothing and equipment will be dry and ready for the following day.

When you book your fishing holiday Scotland at Craiganour, you'll be enjoying not just great fishing but a unique experience of staying in your own large and luxurious lodge. And it really will be yours for the time you stay there, as even if your party is less than the lodge can accommodate then it will still be exclusively yours. Well, other than the housekeeper and your chef who are there to ensure that the only work you have to do is lift a fishing rod.

So for your perfect fishing holiday Scotland and when you're booking for a large family or group and want luxury accommodation, then Craiganour Lodge is more than ideal.
