Craiganour Lodge is set close to the banks of Loch Rannoch and it's this beautiful and vast Highland loch where we offer fly fishing in Scotland for brown trout when you stay with us. The lodge is very close to Loch Rannoch and in easy walking distance. Once at the loch, you can fly fish for brown trout from the bank or from our boat. The size of the brown trout in the loch is up to a staggering 20lb, with such weights being achieved because the fish are 'ferox' – meaning they largely eat other fish once they are adults.

Perhaps the only thing better than the fly fishing in Scotland, is staying in Craiganour Lodge and the thought of returning to its luxury and comfort at the end of each day on the loch. The lodge is ideal for relatively large groups of fishermen and also those who want the freedom and privacy such a property offers relative to a hotel, but equally with all meals prepared and served as they would be in a hotel. So it really is the best of both worlds, and with its 9 twin and king bedrooms Craiganour Lodge can sleep up to 18 guests (the twin rooms can all be converted to king if required for couples). If your party includes non-fishermen and perhaps partners who'd rather spend their day in other ways, then there's plenty to do nearby and even Perth city centre – which offers excellent shopping – is only 47 miles by car.

The lodge's interior is very spacious and truly luxurious, with every possible comfort you could wish for – including a full Sky TV package in the common room and broadband throughout the property. However and given that the property is set in a sporting estate of some 21,000 acres, it's also very practical with a drying room and laundry facilities. So we fully understand and cater for the needs of all our guests, and whatever their interests and reasons for staying with us are.
